Art Techniques and Tips

Hi! I am hoping this blog can be a place for artists of all mediums to exchange ideas, talk about their art, and help eachother with any tips you may have.

My first tip is for pastels. Don't throw away your little nibs of pastels. Organize them by color then grind them to a powder with a mortar and pestle. Add a little rubbing alcohol to make a paste and reform into a pastel shape with your hands. (It would be a good idea to wear rubber gloves here!) Once the alcohol evpaorates it's ready to use!

Adults & Teens - Create Your Own Class! Watercolor, Oils, Acrylics or Pastels - What's your interest? When we get a group of 4 -10 students we'll create a class. Min. of 4 hours (can be over serval days/weeks). Cost $25/hour divided by all students - larger the group the more you save.
